October is Lupus Awareness Month.

This is an important opportunity to raise awareness about this chronic and complex autoimmune disease amongst the public, and medical professionals.

Lupus can affect any system or organ ‘head to toe’ in the body. When misdiagnosed or undiagnosed lupus can have devastating and even fatal consequences. Lupus does not discriminate.

It can affect anyone so it is important that everyone becomes LUPUS WISE!

Lupus WA is a volunteer run and ‘patient centred’ non-profit organisation. Its primary focus is on raising lupus awareness, improving lupus education; providing support for lupus patients; and supporting lupus research activities.

We need your help to raise awareness about lupus and the work done by Lupus WA to help control the impact of this potentially devastating disease.

Here are some ways YOU can get involved during Lupus Awareness Month in October.
